Preparation for Symbiosis

In the days coming into install, we are buzzing with activity. Late nights and early mornings framing, mounting paper works onto wood panels, organising printed booklets. Feeling the heat now!

Fred has been in charge of making some beautiful whitewashed frames for some of the paintings, as well as a structure for Babble of Alphabet Soup, a painting which will stand in the middle of the room.

I have been mounting the paper works. We have chosen a simple mounting style, with the paper edges extending a few millimetres past the wood for a woodless look. It gives the works a really clean finish, though it does make the paper quite fragile.

Overall, preparation is on track for a good show. We’re looking forward to opening!
